“Everybody ought now to know everything about Fox’s pantomime. It is accompanied, during its performance, by varied acts outside of its proper scope. Among these are the entertainments by Spaulding’s Bell Ringers and Band and the musical performances of Professor O’Reardon, the Tumbleronicon. That is what he is called on the bills, and he is welcome to the title. Miss Georgie Dean Spaulding makes a special feature of her triumph of musical endeavor. Triumph is the proper word, for Miss Spaulding plays two tunes upon the harp and sings a third at one time. This is called on the bills a ‘Magical Trio.’ It will be in order for ill-natured people to say, ‘Umph!’ just after ‘trio.’ The other special performances were the singing of Miss Blanche Reeves, the athletic acts of the Orrin Brothers and Mlle. De Locia, and the doings of Professor Davis’ trained dogs. They were all good, particularly those of the dogs.”
