“Such weather as we can at present reasonably expect is likely to prove most welcome to the frequenters of the Central Park Garden concerts. Now that summer has fairly set in, it is to be expected that Mr. Thomas’ performances will be enjoyed by crowds nightly. Nowhere can a more seasonable or agreeable entertainment be found. On some grounds, amusement-seekers may envy Paris, London, or Vienna, but if the best of music, interpreted in the most finished manner possible, and in a delightful summer local is to be coveted, Parisians, Londoner, and Viennese have good cause to cast longing glances hitherward, between July and October.”
