“…notwithstanding the heat last night the attendance at this theatre was good. Several new acts and a good many fresh faces were introduced, and they met with a hearty reception. A. M. Hernandez, an old favorite, made his first appearance in a long time at the Olympic last night with his troupe in three distinct acts, all of which won applause. The bill taken altogether was a good one, containing plenty of fun and merriment and well calculated to make an evening pass away pleasantly.”
