Review: New York Clipper, 07 February 1874, 358.

“…Miss Shaw has a pleasing appearance and was moderately successful in singing serio-comic songs…The Freeman Sisters sang a new duet called ‘Love and Glory,’ which proved successful, and in response to encores gave some of their more familiar sketches, and concluded with a double banjo performance. Tony Pastor sang several of his most popular songs, which were made all the more enjoyable by the introduction of fresh witticisms referring to local topics, in the spoken dialogue. Larry Tooley, in Dutch character songs-and-dances, kept the audience well amused…The attendance has continued good.”
