“…Baby Bindley is a bright-eyed, intelligent-looking little girl of some five years of age. Her specialities were introduced in an entertainment during which father and daughter converse as though they were in the home-circle. Prof. Bindley gave a brief performance upon musical glasses, and his daughter, after a rapid change of attire, reappeared as an English swell, and sang character songs; after another change of costume, she performed with much skill a number of difficult airs upon the musical glasses, being accompanied by her father with the concertina, upon which instrument he subsequently gave imitations of a fife, while his daughter performed upon a snare-drum. Barring that their performances were a little too long, they proved highly entertaining…”
