“Miss Lina Mayr appeared last evening at the Stadt Theatre in ‘Le Part du Diable,’ by Auber. The opera is not one of Auber’s best, although it contains many pretty melodies and taking airs. The rôle of Carlo Broschi requires principally dash, verve, and this quality Miss Mayr possesses in a high degree. Her singing last evening was spirited and graceful. The other members of the cast acquitted themselves creditably, and the performance, upon the whole, did credit to the management.”
