“A pleasant concert was given at Steinway Hall last night for the benefit of the Ladies’ Baptist Home Society. It was organized by Signora Azzema Geri [Cori], a resident artist, who secured the services of efficient coadjutors. By permission of Mr. Strakosch, Mlle. Marcel lent her aid. Miss McKenzie, a young lady with an ample voice, sang with good effect, and Mr. Fritsch, the tenor, made a decided hit. Other artists mentioned on the programme were Mr. Gottschalk, Mr. Albites and Mr. Morosini. The efforts of Signora Geri were recognised by a full house, and her singing, as well as that of her associates, was rewarded with cordial applause.”
