“The annual grand national festival of the French residents of this City, held under the auspices of the Society Alsacienne-Lorraine, came off at Jones’ Wood Colosseum last evening. The affair, which was largely attended, was a success in every particular. Dancing was commenced at 4 o’clock, and was continued without intermission to a late hour in the night. The music was furnished by the French Musical Association, and a battalion of the Lafayette Guard were present in uniform during the afternoon.”
