"Niblo’s Theater.  The second appearance of Mr. Daniel Bandmann as Narcissus on Saturday evening filled the theater as completely as had the one on the first evening.  His performance was deservedly rewarded with unending applause and many requests for curtain calls.  Mme. Ponisi, who played the Marquise de Pompadour, appeared to us much more to advantage yesterday than in her first performance: she seems to be brought more into the spirit of her role.  Mrs. Allen, as Quinault, played again with the same mastery as on Tuesday, but her speech was just as cold as it was the first time.  The other actors appeared like people painted in the background as part of the stage set and were not better than supernumeraries.  Tomorrow evening the piece will be repeated."
