"On Saturday evening this theater was overfilled again.  The play, but especially the performance of Mr. Bandmann as Narcissus, enraptured the public, as in the earlier shows.  Additionally, our President’s wife honored the theater with her visit.  She knew to prize the work of the talented actor to such a degree that yesterday she deigned to invite him to her home.  She invited him to come to Washington, but, because he is committed to other engagements, he politely declined.  For the time being, Narciß remains in the repertoire Tuesdays and Saturdays."
