“This Club gave a very creditable concert at Association Hall last evening. The programme comprised a number of college songs, most of them humorous, and some four-part glees for male voices. Of these, the ‘Soldier’s Farewell’ and ‘The Raven’ (the music being set to Poe’s words) were particularly well done. The ‘Image of the Rose,’ given by Mr. Fleming and the Club, was also well received.”
