“The last nights of ‘Girofle-Girofla’ at the Park Theatre are announced, the coming two weeks witnessing the final representations of this most successful opera-bouffe, which has well merited by its excellent interpretation from the artists of this troupe and its admirable production by the management, the substantial appreciation accorded to it by the public during its prosperous run. No opera-bouffe has been before produced with a more gorgeous and tasteful stage-attire, and in the artists of the troupe, especially Mlles. Geoffroy, Minelli and Kid and MM. De Quercy, Valaire and Valter, we have had presented to us some of the best exponents of the action and music of the opera-bouffe school.”
