“‘Die Fledermaus’ was given again last night at the Stadttheater after ‘die Großherzogin von Gerolstein’ presided over empty houses for two nights. The house last night was pretty well filled; the happy waltz- and polka-operetta was excellent and earned great applause. Fräulein Lina Mayr played ‘Rosalinde’ with real Viennese humor and received thunderous applause for her every number. Tonight ‘Die Fledermaus’ will be repeated for the last time and tomorrow will be a repetition of Offenbach’s ‘Pariser Leben,’ with Fräulein Mayr in the role of the little glove maker. This means that operetta performances at the Stadttheater have come to an end for the time being.”
