Announcement: New York Clipper, 27 March 1875, 414.

“Tony Pastor will retire from the management of his Opera-house, 201 Bowery, after the performance of Saturday evening, March 27, and it will be thereafter known as the Bowery Opera-house. For ten years he has managed it with tact and skill, and given much pleasure to the denizens of that section of the city, who will hear with regret that he is about to depart from their midst. He will continue to hold the lease of the property, but will sub-let it.”
