A promenade concert in aid of the widows and orphans of our soldiers was given last night at Irving Hall by Company D of the Thirty-seventh regiment, Grafulla’s band furnishing the music. Operatic selections and various other pieces were rendered in excellent style before a fashionable company. Soldiers’ concerts are now frequent and generally successful.”
