“The women of Turkey, from the cradle to the grave, with living illustrations.  Mr. Oscanyan has the honor to announce that one Saturday next, 24th inst., he will, by special request, deliver at Cooper Institute, one of his Character Lectures on Turkey, Syria and Egypt.  Oriental life and habits will be dedicated by the assistance of Turkish, Jewish, Druz, Egyptian and other ladies, who will appear in both indoor and outdoor costumes.  Various tableaux-vivants will be introduced, depicting life in the harem.  A grand reception, a peep into a Turkish nursery.  Love, marriage and divorce, Turkish dance, oriental music (especially imported,) &c., &c.”
