“Sacred, patriotic and miscellaneous concerts.  Tuesday and Thursday evenings, Oct. 27 and 29 1863, in connection with The Great Fair, for the benefit of the Union Home and School for the Education and Maintenance or the Children of our Volunteers by the Children of the Institution, Assisted by the Juvenile Choir.  The Fair opens on Monday, Oct 26, 1863, and continues during the week.”

“The musical portion of the entertainment is under the able management of [? – Id.] Huntington Lee, esq., assisted by Miss Nellie Seriver, who presides at the piano.  The singing was performed by a choir of about 70 children, the major portion of whom were connected with the Mission School.”
