“On Saturday evening in Pythagoras Hall, the men’s singing club, ‘Arion,’ celebrated its eleventh anniversary with a sumptuous banquet.  The members were well represented and there were quite a number of invited guests, among which were representatives of both the English- and German-language press in our city.  After everyone had been well provided with a good meal, Mr. Hundt, the president of the club, got up and gave an overview of the accomplishments of the club in a short, humorous speech.  Toasts to ‘Arion,’ the press, etc., followed, and were appropriately answered, more were made.”
