“Saturday is, after all, peculiarly a day of music… at the Seventh regiment armory [sic] Grafulla’s band will give the fifth promenade concert with, a very fine programme, including the gems of the ‘Ballo’ and ‘Lombardi’… No city in the world—not even London or Paris—can offer such a variety of amusement as the New York public can have to-day and to-night.”
