Review: New-Yorker Staats-Zeitung und Herold, 01 February 1864, 8.

“Last night at the Metropolitan Rooms, the ‘Arminia Men’s Chorus’ [Arminia Männerchor], ‘Laetitia,’ and the ‘Mus. Harm. Association’ participated in the concert benefitting Mr. R. Goller. All together, the vocal and instrumental pieces in this rich and diverse program were well performed; those by the singing clubs deserve special mention: they received much applause. Mr. R. Goller conducted with sensitivity and energy. A merry ball closed the evening.”
