Review: New York Post, 10 February 1864, 2.

“The critics have fallen with some severity upon the Irish piece, the ‘Connie Soogah,’ which the Williamses are performing nightly at this theatre; but their remarks do not appear to have had much effect upon the public.  This is the fifth week in which it has been repeated every night, and yet the houses are so crowded that many are turned away for the want of seats.”
