A well deserved benefit.  M. Donatien has had a large presence in the repertory.  Mme. Donatien’s roles are fewer, but she has managed to conquer the public with her finesse and grace.

The Donatiens have had a sad benefit due to M. Donatien’s illness.  They are going to be compensated by means of a personal gift, paid for by the most important season ticket holders.  It is a very good initiative, and it is in the interest of the public.  Donatien was already ill the evening of the benefit, so the program had to be changed.  Instead, Le Démi-monde was performed.  Juignet (manager), Gravier (set designer), and Hons (conductor) are to be praised.
