NYP announcement says the concert took place on Thursday, March 17. The NYT has a separate small article about the concert taking place “this [March 24] evening.” We believe there was only one concert and that the NYP announcement had the wrong date.

Concert for the Fair.—Another concert is given this evening, by the Juvenile Choir and the Old Folks, at Special Police Headquarters, Jefferson and Water streets. The proceeds go to the Seventh Precinct Police, to make part of their contributions to the fair. The citizens of the precinct should aid in making the concert a success pecuniarily; they should buy tickets whether they go or not.”
