Review: New-Yorker Staats-Zeitung und Herold, 20 April 1864, 8.
[partial program given here] “This young and fresh choir [Innominata] held its first singing circle last Monday at the Kuntz Restaurant on Essex street.  Although this chorus has only existed for a month, it already includes more than a hundred members, with more than sixty being active.  The singers at the concert performed well and were received warmly by the audience.  Miss Pfaffmann, soprano, possesses a pleasant and strong voice.  The singing circle was well attended and was held in a cheerful and cozy atmosphere.”
