A temporary stage was created for the performance.  The choir of the operetta sang excellently.  The noteworthy soloists were the ‘Sovereign,’ the ‘Mayor’ and the ‘Roommate.’  Before the operetta, the orchestra, conducted by Mr. Paur, played the overture out of Czar und Zimmermann.  All performers were fully deserving of the enthusiastic applause they received.
