“For the benefit of soldiers from the front.  There will be a grand oratorical and musical entertainment at the Academy of Music on the evening of Thursday the 23rd instant, to aid the special relief fund of the Ladies Hospital for the benefit of the sick and wounded soldiers.  The Rev. Henry Ward Beecher, the Rev. Dr. R.H. Chapin, the Rev. Prof. Hitchcock, the Rev. Dr. Foster, and James T. Brady, esq., have consented to speak, and some of the first artists in the musical world, whose names will be announced hereafter, will be present to add their efforts to this grand entertainment.”
