“Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Florence reappeared on Tuesday at this theatre [Winter Garden] in “The Ticket-of-Leave Man,” the performances of which were interrupted, much against the public wish, some weeks ago. They were both cordially received by a large audience, and the progress of the drama was watched with the same close interest and eager sympathy as during its earliest representations. The cast being, with a single exception, the same as before, it is needless to speak particularly of the performance. Applause was liberally bestowed, and the heartiness with which the revival was welcomed promises another term of abundant success. “The Ticket-of-Leave Man” will be repeated every evening.”
