We prefer to be courteous and avoid talking about Cairoli and Mongiardin.  Ardavani and Fellini are praised. They are the phoenix of Wertheimber’s  company. For this performance or another???

Musical Review.  There were only a few musical events to enjoy this winter.  In general New York City is a very active place musically and artistically.  However, this last season it was rather quiet, with the Opera being out of town in Boston, the “Athens of America.”  Instead, less well-known Italian singers decided to perform an opera buffa, which turned out not to be successful and was thus performed only once.
