“What with uncomfortable weather, change of opera owing to indisposition of singers, etc., Maretzek has not had lively or appreciative audiences at the Academy since our last, and he has not slept well in consequence. The weather was rather rough, last week, for the delicate organs of our opera singers, and in this instance they are excusable for being sick.”
