No mention of music. “The rapidity with which new pieces are produced at this theatre is an example for other establishments.  If our American audiences were more exacting they would be better served. We understand that there is a fair prospect of the realization of the plans which have been in agitation for the erection of a new theatre for the French company. Several captialitsts are prepared to advance the money, and all that is wanting is a suitable site. Should the undertaking be successfully carried out, we shall soon be able to congratulate the New York public on the possession of an opera comique—a delightful class of entertainment to which they are as yet strangers.”
