Last night was Mrs. Genee’s last performance. The size of the audience was larger than anyone can remember since the bookkeeping of Mr. Hamann. Mrs. Genee performed excellently as usual and thus made it difficult for the audience to say farewell to her. When she asked the audience after the show if she had pleased them, the response was a genuine “Yes!”
