"Tony Pastor's Opera House.—This establishment . . . sustains its neat outward appearance in its interior arrangements and the amusement afforded by the proprietor.  Last evening it was densely crowded, and the programme for this (Thursday) evening gives assurance of a splendid and amusing entertainment.  The ‘Buffalo Boys’ come out in a clog dance, and Miss Blanche Stanley and Miss Ellen Cellence in song and dance. The tight rope performances of Marietta Zanfretta are wonderful and excellent.”

“The entertainment offered last week was a good one, consisting of Martini Chiriski’s wire walking act, which is exceedingly well done. Marietta Zanfretta also walked the tight rope with great daring and grace. The Buffalo Boys do a good double clog dance, and Master Barry is clever in song and dance. Willie Armstrong, Billy Reeve, and Johnny Wild make a good team in burnt cork.”
