Review: New York Herald, 03 June 1865, 1.

“[T]he band played several patriotic pieces. . . . A few minutes after the departure of the Thirty-seventh, Grafulla’s Seventh regiment band appeared on the ground just vacated, and prepared to give a second serenade.  The band numbered fifty pieces.  Each performer was provided with a music stand and light. . . . Choice selections were given from Ernani, William Tell, Robert Le Diable and other operas.”
