     Affidavit of Mr. J. S. Clarke, the Comedian.  Clarke was married to the sister of John Wilkes Booth and was imprisoned briefly for a possible connection to the assassination.  He was “unconditionally released last Friday, by the direction of Secretary Stanton.”
