“At the Hippotheatron a new comic pantomime called the ‘Elixir of Love [sic]’ will be produced. We notice that Donati, the one-legged dancer, has been reengaged at this establishment for another week.”
“The Hippotheatron produces another new comic pantomime this evening, called ‘The Elixir of Life,’ arranged and invented by M. Lehman, and to be produced with new scenery, costumes, etc. Donati, the one-legged dancer, remains this week.”
“The Hippotheatron is distinguishing itself as the special preserver of the interests of old English pantomime. The last effort it has made in this way is unquestionably the best. ‘The Elixir of Life’ is as neat a specimen of genuine harlequinade as the public have had the opportunity of enjoying; its success was abundant on the opening night, and has since regularly increased. It is announced for repetition every evening, and on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.”
