Review: New York Clipper, 08 July 1865.

“Wood’s Minstrels, being in the occupancy of as cool and comfortable a hall as there is in the city, never find it necessary to close up for the summer, but give entertainments ‘all the year round.’ This troupe is well managed, and receives the patronage of many of our first-class citizens, their wives and children. The singing of the quartet is beautiful, the fun of the comedians is of the most hilarious character, and the Terpsichorean efforts of the dancers are timely and amusing. For the 4th of July holidays an entertainment of great variety is offered.”
