The review includes a general physical description of Lion Park, which is hailed as being on “high ground” and very “cool.”  At nighttime, the area is “lighted up with innumerable gas-lamps, the spectacle is almost fairy-like.” The concert included a great vocal and instrumental concert.  Satirical speeches on political and social events were also included.
