“Fenianism is certainly on the brain of a large class of people on this side of the Atlantic.  Fenian dramas are being performed in a number of theatres, and in this city, three pieces of amusement are dishing the subject in after-pieces.  Manager Wood, of Wood’s Minstrels, produces this evening a drama entitled, ‘A Fair Fenian Fight for Freedom,’ introducing all the members of the company. Considerable pains have been taken to present it to the public.”

With plot synopsis.  “The new piece . . . is a well written affair, just suited to the present Fenian excitement, and is not only well put on the stage as regards scenery, and appointments, but is capitally performed by the sable actors.”
