“Tony Pastor has been specially requested to continue to play the very successful Irish drama called The Fenian’s Dream, or Ireland Free at Last, during the present week. . . . Tony Pastor has consented, so his legion of Irish friends, as well as the lovers of liberty from every other part of the world, will have the opportunity of witne4ssing the most effective representations of a dazzling event while awaiting the consummation of its glorious reality.  The wit, Irish humor, Hibernian characteristics and beautiful allegorical tableaux which are called forthand displayed by the company frequently lead the audience to imagine that the Dream has been fulfilled, but not by its ‘conthrary’ [sic], as usual, and that Free Ireland really stands before them.  Besides the play, the new and original burlesque entitled Othello in Rhyme, or The Moor of Vengeance, will be given this evening and during the week.  Martini Chiriski astonished the audience with his feats in ventriloquism and his mid-air sports on the flying wire.  Tony Pastor gives his usual matiness every Wednesday and Saturday.”
