      Musical Review.  The first musical tribute to the fallen President was given by a thousand German singers.  At the obsequies of President Lincoln (in New York), Schubert’s “Chor der Geister” , the Pilgrim Chorus from Tannhäuser and Hiller’s “Saul” arranged by A. Paur, were performed by the following choruses:
