Review: New York Herald, 28 May 1865.

“Mr. Charley White’s new burlesque of ‘The Streets of New York’ has made a great hit at Bryant’s popular establishment.  When we say that the streets of New York - stores, houses and all - are set out bodily upon the stage, and that several new, ingenious and wonderful inventions, as yet unknown to our fire department, are brought into requisition in putting out the conflagration which concludes the burlesque, the crowded houses are accounted for, although the comicalities of Mr. Frank Moran, Mr. Nelse Seymour and the rest of the fine troupe doubtless have something to do with them.”
