     “A Musical Entertainment was given last evening at Dr. Dowling’s Church, corner of Bedford and Downing – sts., by the ‘Berean Musical Association,’ under the leadership of Mr. Charles W. Lord.  George H. Curtis, esq., presided at the piano.  The ‘Union Glee Club’ of this city, having generously volunteered their services, contributed in no small degree to the interest of the occasion.  The affair passed off well, and was creditable to all concerned.”
