GERMAN CHECK

All program pieces were received well by the audience; however, the finale was clearly the highlight. Kücken’s “Sanfte Tage” also ranked highly. Michaelis performed the Haydn’s “Hindu Mädchen” with sensitivity and creative expression.

The audience was sophisticated and came in large numbers.

GERMAN CHECK

The highlights of the evening were Abt’s “Waldfrieden”, Krug’s “Trinklied”, Lachner’s “Waldvöglein” and “Heil Dir Germania” by C. A. Mangold, the father of the current Liederkranz conductor.
