To our dismay we were told Mrs. Steglich-Fuchs is planning to leave the Stadt Theater. We expect next Wednesday’s benefit performance of “Graupenmüller” to be sold out, because her admirers will flock to the event.

Mrs. Steglich-Fuchs is giving her last performance on Wednesday. She will then dedicate herself fully to her family. She was an effective member of this theater and performed in a variety of roles from a Berlin female chef, a governess and an ingénue lover to the naïve-sentimental.

Review: New-Yorker Musik-Zeitung, 02 April 1866, 169.

Very successful. Very good script and comedic scenes. There were excellent performances especially of Mr. Knorr who had the leading part. The three comedians Reiffarth, Klein and Hübsch did well also and were acknowledged for their good performances by the audience.
