“Such crowds as continue to witness the performances of the San Francisco Minstrels we’ve never before seen in any minstrel hall in this city. We attended on the evening of the 3d inst. And although we were on hand as soon as the performance commenced, there was not a vacant seat in the house, and as a comfortable standing spot was difficult to find, we left without witnessing their laughable eccentricities.”
