Music not mentioned.  “Of the two pieces recently put on the bill here, the farce, ‘A Man Without a Head,’ is best adapted to the capacity of the house and its limited scenic resources. . . . The comedy of ‘The Honeymoon’ is beyond the ability of the company.  It is gawkily dressed, and the scenery is yet sadly chaotic and surprising.  It is due, however, to Miss Rushton to say that constant improvement is perceptible in the latter particulars.  The stage was very prettily set and furnished for the farce.”

“Lucy Rushton’s . . . acting was below mediocrity.  This lady attempts to play characters entirely out of her line. She should engage a good leading lady, and then business might pick up a little.”
