Announcement: New York Herald, 04 July 1865, 1.

     Includes a list of the participating bands and where they will be performing.  “There will be a military parade of the First division N.Y.N.G., under command of Major General Charles W. Sandford.  They will be reviewed by His Honor the Mayor, and Common Council, in Union square, at ten o’clock A.M.

     In the evening fireworks will be exhibited at the following places and in the order of the programme.  The displays will be prepared and furnished by Jos. G. & Isaac Edge, of Jersey City, N.J.

     During the interval between the pieces aerial fireworks will be displayed in rapid succession, and the bands will furnish music at the following places. . .”
