Review: New-York Daily Tribune, 06 July 1865, 7.

Includes a description of the institution and some of the other events of the day. “Other exercises, consisting chiefly of songs and declamations suited to the capacities of the children, followed, concluding with the singing of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ and ‘Victory at Last,’ and addresses by the Rev. Dr. Kittredge.  The children then formed in procession and proceeded to the school-room, singing as they went ‘Marching Along,’ where a substantial dinner awaited them.”
