“The German musical associations of this city, which are making arrangements to participate in the first New England Saengerfest, to take place at Providence, R. I., in about two weeks, on Saturday night were at the hall of the Liederkranz Society, engaged in a general rehearsal of the compositions to be rendered at their main concert. There was a full attendance of singers, and it appears that at least two hundred of the New York artists will take an active part in the exercises at the approaching musical demonstration.”
