“Miss Kate Reignolds had an opportunity last night of displaying her talents in light comedy, for which she is peculiarly adapted. The pieces selected were not of the most brilliant character, but Miss Reignolds invested them with a good deal of liveliness, and gave general satisfaction to an audience which was not sparing of its approbation. This evening she appears in a part in which her powers as a comedienne have more play than either of the pieces last night, namely – in the drama of ‘The Young Days of Richelieu.’”
